Dave Elmendorf, General Manager for the Quail Valley Golf Course, encourages citizens to be cautious when walking anywhere near the El Dorado course as it undergoes reconstruction. El Dorado is being rebuilt and is planned to re-open later this year. The movement of dirt and equipment make the fairways potentially dangerous for any passersby.

“We want residents to stay safe while all the steps are completed to make this course a featured destination for residents in our region and beyond,” Elmendorf said. “From the demolition and replacement of 5.1 miles of cart path to the re-sculpting of El Dorado, there is plenty of construction happening at the course.”

The project also includes the replacement of the irrigation systems for the La Quinta and the El Dorado courses, as well as electrical power supply and drainage improvements to the property.

To keep bystanders out of harm’s way, Elmendorf asked residents to stay clear of the course until the project is complete. “When construction is finished, this City will have a premiere golf course that everyone in the community can enjoy,” he said.
