Tips for maintaining the proper pace of play:

  • Quail Valley golf course pace of play will be no longer than 4 hours and 30 minutes.
  • Make sure your group keeps up with the group in front of you. You are behind if you get to the tee box and the group in front of you is already on the green on a par 4.
  • Let faster groups play through. Singles and twosomes do not have preferences on the golf course. If a fivesome is faster than a twosome, the twosome should let the fivesome play through.
  • Play ready golf. Prepare your shot while others in your group are playing. When it is your turn to play, take no longer than 20 seconds to play your shot.
  • When riding in a golf cart with another golfer, park between the two golf balls or drop off one player and let the second player take the cart to his /her ball. DO NOT DRIVE INDIVIDUALLY TO EACH BALL AND WAIT FOR EACH PLAYER TO HIT HIS/HER SHOT.
  • Write down the scores from the previous hole while on the next tee box.
  • Purchase beverages from the beverage cart while on the tee box. Making purchases while on the green or in the fairway will only slow down play.
