Once a private club and former home of the PGA Tour’s Houston Open (1973-1974), El Dorado is regularly one of the highest rated public golf courses in Texas. In 2008 the golf course was revamped by local architect Jeff Blume to raise greens complexes, redo the bunkers, and modernize the course to make it more playable, beautiful, and enjoyable.
Today, El Dorado has water on several holes, plenty of strategic bunkering, and larger undulating greens. Theres a variety with the par-3s and terrific risk-reward par 5s to make the day exciting whether you’re working on your game, competing with friends, or entertaining guests.
