An Opportunity in Missouri City
The Sales and Events Director is responsible for driving revenue through sales of events and golf-related services, cultivating client relationships, and overseeing event planning and execution. The role combines strategic sales leadership, event management, and customer relations to ensure a club’s offerings (weddings, corporate events, outings, tournaments, banquets, etc.) are successfully marketed, booked, and executed.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve or exceed revenue goals.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities (corporate clients, local businesses, social events, weddings, tournaments).
- Generate leads through networking, outreach, site tours, and community engagement.
- Prepare sales proposals, contracts, and event summaries.
- Collaborate with membership/marketing teams to cross-promote services.
Event Planning & Execution
- Oversee booking and coordination of all club events like social functions, meetings, celebrations, tournaments, or outings.
- Work with internal departments (food & beverage, golf operations, facilities) to plan logistics, menus, staffing, and equipment needs.
- Ensure client briefs are executed to specification and client expectations are exceeded.
- Serve as the main point of contact through the planning process and onsite during events when needed.
Client & Community Relations
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients.
- Conduct client meetings, site inspections, and consultations to close business.
- Respond promptly to inquiries and follow up after events for feedback and future business.
Leadership & Administration
- Track departmental performance against sales targets and report ROI.
- Train, supervise, and motivate sales and event staff (e.g., coordinators and assistants).
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity and event logistics using CRM or event management tools.
Collaboration & Strategy
- Partner with the General Manager, Executive Chef, and Food & Beverage Director to develop competitive event offerings, pricing, and packages.
- Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and adjust strategies to stay competitive.
Skills & Qualifications
